Diafra Sakho | Crystal Palace in talks to sign West Ham striker

Crystal Palace are in talks with West Ham over a move for unsettled striker Diafra Sakho. Goals from Diangana, Toni Martinez and Martin Samuelsen saw West Ham U23 begin the year on a bright note as they beat Manchester United U23’s 3-0 at Old Trafford. West Ham to face Bournemouth/Wigan if they beat Shrewsbury in FA Cup replay

West Ham United will face the winner of Wigan vs Bournemouth if they beat Shrewsbury in their FA Cup third round replay next week at the London Stadium. The draw for the fourth round of the tournament was made earlier today (8 January, 2017).

Wigan v Bournemouth, like the Hammers’ fixture against Shrewsbury, pits a third tier side vs a Premier League outfit. The original tie at Dean Court ended in a 2-2 draw, thanks to Steve Cook scoring a last gasp equaliser for the Cherries. Wigan were left fuming because of a potential non-awarded penalty just before Cook’s goal that would’ve seen the scoreline go 3-1 in favour of the home side.

The Latics are currently top of League One, with Shrewsbury in second. [Read more…]
