Chancel Mbemba Sakho Swap Deal?- Hammers to exchange striker for defender?

If rumours are to be believed, Newcastle are prepared to let Chancel Mbemba go to West Ham in exchange for Diafra Sakho. Hammers boss David Moyes has played three in defence (mostly Winston Reid, Angelo Ogbonna and Aaron Cresswell) since replacing Slaven Bilic, and feels another defender would strengthen his squad, with veteran James Collins and youngster Declan Rice the only other options available.

The versatile Mbemba, who can play in various positions across defence, also has age on his side- he’s only 23. While Newcastle rate him as one of their better players, the Magpies do need a striker and Diafra Sakho is said to desperately want a move away from the London Stadium. Sakho has been linked with Palace, but it now seems that St.James Park might also be a potential destination for the Senegalese international [Read more…]

Diafra Sakho | Crystal Palace in talks to sign West Ham striker

Crystal Palace are in talks with West Ham over a move for unsettled striker Diafra Sakho. The striker also mentioned that Slaven Bilic had no influence in bringing him back [Read more…]

Not surprisingly, substitutes Diafra Sakho and Arthur Masuaku have been rated highly for their contributions, while Mark Noble didn’t exactly crown himself in glory, according to the pundits. We agree that while Nobes didn’t have a great game, he was perhaps no better than the rest- this was a pretty poor performance overall. [Read more…]

Post Match Report & Thoughts- West Ham v Swansea | Win that papers over the cracks?

Going into this game, West Ham had never failed to score at home against Swansea, finding the back of the net 74 times in 31 previous games against the Swans.

Going into this game, Swansea were yet to concede an away goal in the Premier League this season.

One of those two records was to be broken at the London Stadium, and for eighty nine minutes, it looked like the former, before substitutes Arthur Masuaku and Diafra Sakho combined for a goal that saw Swansea concede a late winner for the second Saturday in a row. [Read more…]

Diafra Sakho injury report- Striker out for 6 weeks after Man Utd injury

West Ham’s strikers don’t seem to having the best of seasons, with Diafra Sakho the latest addition to the treatment room. Sakho is expected to return in January, but will be unavailable for West Ham if he is selected to do duty at the Africa Cup of Nations for Senegal [Read more…]
