West Ham halted their four game losing streak on the road across all competitions with a hard fought 1-1 win against Crystal Palace over the weekend.
The Hammers opted to field the same XI that had drawn against table toppers Liverpool. They dominated the first half, with Felipe Anderson looking unstoppable as he pulled the strings on attack. The visitors went in 1-0 ahead at the break, with Mark Noble converting from the spot after Guaita had fouled Michail Antonio in the box.
The second half was an altogether different story, with Anderson and his team mates effectively opting to park the bus as they tried to repel wave after wave of Palace attack. The Eagles finally did manage to score, with Wilfried Zaha’s shot taking a deflection off Issa Diop en route to goal. The Hammers did not even have a single shot on target after the interval, with Marko Arnautovic not really able to influence the game in the half odd hour he spent on the pitch as a second half sub.
