West Ham re-sign midfielder

West Ham United have re-signed midfield player Gary O’Neil  on a free transfer after the player was officially released by The Hammer’s at the end of last season.

O’Neil’s contract expired at the end of the 2012/2013 season and was put in the free agent pool as the club had not agreed an extension with him.

However, after being free to discuss terms with other clubs the 30-year-old midfielder has signed on again with West Ham United. [Read more…]

West Ham in bid for Czech striker Matej Vydra

West Ham United along with three other Premier League clubs have made moves to sign the player on loan according to his agent.

Matej Vydra, 21, may be known to some supporters already after a successful loan spell with Watford last season saw the striker score 20 goals in 41 outings and win the Championship Player of the Year award to boot. [Read more…]

West Ham keen on Ecuador winger

West Ham United are reportedly keen on Ecuadorian winger Jefferson Montero.

SkySports are reporting that West Ham and a trio of other clubs from the Premier League are all chasing the 23-year-old wide man.

Montero currently plays for Mexican team Morelia, however he has played in Europe before having signed for Spanish La Liga team Villarreal as a 20-year-old and had further European experience by being loaned out to Real Betis and Levante. [Read more…]

Rat looking forward to West Ham debut

West Ham United’s new signing Razvan Rat has spoken to West Ham TV of his excitement and pride at the thought of playing for the club in the Premier League.

Rat, 32, is the Romania captain and has picked up 88 caps for his country. He signed for West Ham United on a free transfer after being heavily linked with a move to The Hammers earlier on in the January transfer window after 20 years with Ukranian team Shakhtar Donetsk. [Read more…]

West Ham to cull the squad

Reports coming out in the media today suggest West Ham are getting ready for a clear out of players to offset the signing of Andy Carroll from Liverpool.

The Sun is suggesting that £12 million worth of talent is on its way out of The Boleyn Ground.

Ricardo Vaz Te, Modibo Maiga, Matt Taylor and Alou Diarra are being  listed as the casualties of the clear out. [Read more…]
