Diarra or Parker?

With news circulating this past week; that former captain marvel Scott Parker could make a return to Upton Park, is this news that should excite many West Ham fans? 

Leaving back in 2011, Parker was a cult hero for West Ham, known for his extraordinary work rate and desire. Although some fans have voiced their displeasure at the return of Scott after the player choose to join rivals Tottenham Hotspur in a controversial move. Personally I don’t hold any resentment towards Parker for leaving, he isn’t getting any younger and in order to maintain his England spot; it was inevitable he would have to leave for a Premier League side. Maiga backed to shine for West Ham

Modibo Maiga scored a brace for West Ham United this weekend and set up midfield star Mo Diame for another in a 3-0 pre-season win over German outfit Eintracht Braunschweig in the last game of their German tour.

The Mali international didn’t know much about his first goal on 22 minutes when a clearance was hit straight at Maiga and looped over the Eintracht goalkeeper to make it 1-0 the The Hammers. [Read more…]

West Ham United give up chase for Juventus striker

The Hammers have given up the ghost of trying to bring Italian hitman Fabio Quagliarella to Upton Park, preferring to focus instead on another Serie A forward in the shape of Udinese’s Czech star Matej Vydra.

As we said on Friday about the Juventus striker: The Italian club have completed deals for both Fernando Llorente from Athletic Bilbao and Man City’s Carlos Tevez so 30 year-old Fabio Quagliarella could be surplus to requirements. [Read more…]
