Official: Hammers Sign Morrison

West Ham United have announced the signing of highly-rated midfielder Ravel Morrison from Manchester United.

Speaking to WHUFC.com

“I’m really pleased to have signed,” Morrison said. “The move has happened very quickly and I’m looking forward to hopefully moving up to the Premier League with West Ham soon. I’m an attacking player and I’m hoping to get the fans on their feet.

“I met with Sam Allardyce this morning and he welcomed me to the club. I also played with Robert Hall in the England team and I know him well so that will be really helpful to have someone here that I know.”

Lets hope we can help him fulfill his vast potential with our club!

Transfer Deadline Day Latest

As the 11pm deadline looms I have been out and about on the internet and have Sky Sports as a fixture on my TV looking for the latest news for us Hammers!

Main stories are as follows:

Sky Sports are reporting West Ham have agreed a fee in the region of 2.5 Million for Bristol City’s Nicky Maynard. This is great news in my opinion as this is just what we need a regular goal scorer!

Genoa Striker Ze Eduardo arrived in London yesterday and completed a medical with the idea he plays on loan for the rest of the season and it turns into a permanent deal in the summer.

Manchester United’s 18-year-old Midefielder Ravel Morrison is on his way to London in order to undergo a medical ahead of a proposed permanent transfer from Manchester United. Looking around the web this guy has some serious talent and is thought to be the best youngster to come out of the Manchester Utd academy since a certain Paul Scholes, however it appears he has a slight disciplinary problem which is why Sir Alex is willing to let him go. Lets hop a change of scenery is what the young man needs!

And yet another striker on his way to The Boleyn is Ricardo Vaz Te, who Barnsley have reportedly accepted a bid of £750,000 for from the Hammers. With 12 league goals already this season he could be magic up front with Mr. Maynard.

Hammers Interested in Jelavic

News coming out from around the world wide rumour mill today is that West Ham have been in talks with Rangers about Croatian hot shot Nikica Jelavic.

Ally McCoist dismissed the claims a fee had been agreed and was quoted as saying “6 Million is not nearly enough”!

Talks are apparently ongoing with rumours Rangers are in desperate need of a cash injection to stave off the creditors.

The Croatian international joined Rangers in 2010 from Rapid Vienna.

Could be a nice signing but am always weary of players who score lots of goals north of the border as it does not always work out for them down here.

George John Set To Sign

First bit of substantial news on the transfer front is that George John, an American defender could be announced as West Ham’s first signing of this window in the next 24 hours.

The 24-year-old who currently plays for FC Dallas in the MLS has reportedly passed a medical and agreed terms with West Ham United.

Previously  he was poised to join Premier League team Blackburn Rovers at the start of the current season but having agreed a £1.2million deal, the transfer fell through after he failed to agree personal terms.

Could be a good signing but who knows. Any one else know much about him?

Good News, Sam Rules Out Diouf

Good news today, Sam Allardyce has revealed that he will not be signing El Hadji Diouf or Spit The Dog as he is known in some corners.

The West Ham manager, who came under heavy fire this week for considering signing a player who spat at West Ham supporters back in 2002 whilst a Liverpool player.

Allardyce said: “Everyone seems to be aware that we’ve had El Hadji Diouf training with us but I’ve decided today not to offer him a short-term contract. We’ve had a good look at him over the past few days but because he’s had no real football for some time his conditioning wasn’t good.

“With that in mind – and the possibility that some of our injured players will be hopefully have recovered in the not too distant future – we won’t be looking at a deal.

“Obviously I had to bear in mind the situation at the club with the fans. It was sensible to take everything into consideration and the most important thing is we are going pretty well at the moment and there shouldn’t be any distractions.”

Great news in my opinion, like we need another troubled player who would probably end up spitting at his own supporters if he got booed!
