Payet makes second Marseille league debut v Metz, OM lose 1-0

Dimitri Payet made his “second” league debut for Marseille in their Match Day 23 clash against FC Metz. Payet, who had also played in the Coupe de France win over Lyon, was a second half substitute for OM against Metz, replacing Bouna Sarr nine minutes into the second half.

Key moment Video Feghouli open goal miss vs Man City in the FA Cup

Well, this was a rather depressing game to watch, more so the second half. However you probably can’t blame the players- they were 3-0 down at the interval and conceded one more shortly after coming on.

The first half was certainly better than the second, but this open goal miss from Sofiane Feghouli was a key one- it would’ve been an equaliser after conceding a soft penalty through Ogbonna. Unfortunately for the Algerian, he failed to convert his chance and it was pretty much down hill after that. West Ham’s heads dropped, David Silva ran the show and three more goals were scored in quick succession, and John Stones added a late fifth to complete a comprehensive win for Pep Guardiola’s side [Read more…]
