Third Matt Jarvis Bid Rejected

Wolves have rejected another West Ham bid of £9.5 Million for winger Matt Jarvis.

West Ham increased their last offer by a further £500k from the last rejected bid.

You can’t accuse Wolves of not playing hard ball can you? Usually when teams go down Premier League clubs can grab a bargain, but Wolves are having none of it and want top dollar for all their prized assets.

Jarvis is understood to be very keen on a move to West Ham and negotiations with the player will not be a problem once a fee with his club can be arranged. I can’t see this not going through as Wolves are holding out for £10 Million so it’s a matter of haggling over £500k now.

Natural Width

I think Matt Jarvis would be an excellent signing for us and would provide natural width, pace, dribbling and crossing ability that we haven’t had since Matty Etherington was on form. We need to be supplying our front men with quality balls to get on the end of and Jarvis will provide those in spades.

The last few seasons we have had too many central players out wide who have tended to tuck inside all the time and give us a real lack of width, so hopefully this deal will get sorted as Jarvis would give us some real width which we will need in the Premiership.

Terrible News

I almost spat my coffee out earlier when reading on Goal.com that Sam Allardyce is chasing Tal Ben Haim!

He was outstanding for Bolton under Big Sam which prompted Chelsea to bring the Isreali defender to London, however he has been dreadful ever since and Portsmouth couldn’t get him out of their club with a crowbar!

Transfer News

I understand Konate is still awaiting a permit before he can complete his transfer. Other deals for Loic Remy and Clint Dempsey are dead as a doornail.

Royston Drenthe, the Dutch winger who was on loan at Everton from Real Madrid last year, has been offered a contract by us as he is currently available on a free transfer and would be a very shrewd bit of business if we can get it done.

The new season has come round very quickly for me, I think I was getting too involved with the Olympics so took my eye off the ball slightly and the first game of the season has sneaked up on me! Anyway I can’t wait for Saturday and hope for a bit of revenge over Villa! COYI!

West Ham Tuesday Transfer Update

West Ham are still looking to sign several players including a marquee signing.

Not much official news to bring you at present but there is plenty of news making it’s way round the rumour mill.

Loic Remy

Let’s start with the biggest name in Loic Remy, rumours are rife that West Ham are close to agreeing a fee for Remy the jet heeled French striker, with fees of up to £18 Million being talked about.

I am not sure where we are getting the money for these bids as it was only last week we agreed on £17 Million for Carroll, not that I am complaining though as Remy would be a fantastic signing.

Would Remy be interested in playing for West Ham though? He currently plays for Marseille who were in the quarter finals of the Champions League last season so would he want to play for a promoted club? I would love this to happen but can only see him playing for a team in some sort of European competition.

Anyone who has used him on Fifa will know he has lightening pace and lethal finishing 🙂

Matt Jarvis

West Ham are still chasing Jarvis after having their initial deal of £6 Million + £3 Million of add-ons turned down, Wolves are apparently seeking £10 Million with a larger portion of the transfer up front.

This is the closest deal to being done from what I know with the club not a million miles apart in their valuations, can’t see Wolves missing out on a nice pay day over a small amount of cash personally.

Adam Johnson

The winger is becoming surplus to requirements at Manchester City, with City said to be trying to sign Scott Sinclair from Swansea, a loan to permanent transfer could be on the cards for Johnson, however Everton may be in pole position with first refusal as part of the Jack Rodwell deal.

Moussa Konate

This deal looks to be all tied up with us waiting on a work permit for the in form striker.

There are several other stories and rumours banding around but these are the main ones, I think we will end up with Konate and Jarvis and Sam will spring a surprise with a few defenders.

Matt Jarvis bid turned down

West Ham today have had a £9 Million bid for Wolves winger Matt Jarvis turned down according to reports.

The deal is thought to be £6 Million up front and a further £3 Million in add-ons.

Wolves however are not interested in the offer which would see them make a substantial profit on a player they paid £600k to Gillingham for back in 2007, any deal though would see 15% going back to Gillingham.

Jarvis has represented England once, with the 26-year-old’s only appearance coming in a friendly against Ghana back in 2011.

Wolves are playing hard ball with all their players, and are setting the prices of their best ones extremely high, with Sunderland trying to sign Fletcher it appears they are looking for £15 Million for the striker, so goodness knows what they want for Jarvis.

Jarvis is a good player who would add some width and creativity to the team, but I think the West Ham offer is more than fair and I hope we turn our attentions else where as I think there must be more value for money out there surely?

Alou Diarra joining West Ham

Alou Diarra the French veteran midfield player has agreed to join West Ham.

31-year-old Diarra is expected to cost West Ham in the region of £2 Million from Marseille, with the player expected in London to complete a medical before the deal can be completed.

Diarra who is a defensive midfield player had an excellent tournament for France at Euro 2012 when he stepped in for the injured Yann M’Vila.

Reports are that Diarra is expected to pen a 2-year contract with The Hammers.

It seems like Big Sam is putting his faith in experience again as he looks to secure West Ham’s place in the Premier League.

Agent Fees

On another note did anyone see the agent fees which West Ham paid out in the last year? £4.5 Million was spent on agents which made us the team who paid out the most in all the English leagues bar the Premiership, Leicester came in second with £1.8 Million and they signed about a hundred players last year if memory serves!

West Ham Tuesday Transfer Gossip

West Ham are linked with three strikers today following the collapse of the Andy Carroll deal.

Moussa Konate is being heavily linked with a move to West Ham and the odds on him plying his trade at Upton Park have shortened to 7/1. The Senegal striker has looked in good form at the Olympic Games and has been scoring goals.

Chelsea Duo

West Ham have also enquired about the availability of Chelsea duo Daniel Sturridge and Romalu Lukaku.

I am assuming any deals would only be of the loan variety as Chelsea would be keen to keep both players on the books for the future.

Both players would fit in nicely into the West Ham team and add some much needed fire power to the front line, but lets see where this one goes shall we.

On Another Note

Ravel Morrison complained of toothache recently, which considering his past could have been thought of as a cop out, however it turns out that he needs 7, yes that is SEVEN teeth out!! I am assuming he must have been eating bags of sugar as snacks?
