West Ham announce new Betway sponsorship

West Ham’s most recent sponsors were Alpari UK, a forex trading brokers. They were forced to terminate their sponsorship deal with the Premier League team, as they entered administration, the second time a West Ham sponsor has run into financial difficulty. Online betting firm Betway, were however delighted to fill the space left vacant by Alpari and moved quickly to seize this one of a kind opportunity.
The Hammers publicised the news on their twitter page, and wasted no time in signing for the record £20million shirt sponsorship deal with Betway just in time for the Manchester United game. West Ham’s vice chair Karen Brady, spoke of the deal stating “We are pleased to welcome Betway to the Club as our new principal sponsor, in what is our biggest-ever commercial deal…” The Barclays Premier league is the world’s most renowned football competition and it has been proven to be a competitive exciting time for Betway!!

Sakho gate continues – should Allardyce play him?

One of our top players is embroiled in a row with his own country and it looks like they are out for blood. Big Sam has been told not to play striker Diafra Sakho  until the row has been resolved.

Sakho has been the object of hatred from his own country, Senegal since he scored the Hammer’s match winner against Bristol City in the FA Cup. An injured Diafra Sakho had to pull out of the Africa Cup of Nations due to a back injury but came off the bench to nod home West Ham’s winner against a Bristol side that was really up for it.

Allardyce: Stick or twist this summer?

West Ham produced another one-dimensional and uninspiring performance last night to battle past 10 man Hull City and win the game 2-1.

However, the biggest thing to come out of the game was not the three points, nor the fact that West Ham are now 11th in the Premier League Table and nor that we have almost secured our Premier League status for another year.

Last nights game was overshadowed by the booing of the home team by West Ham’s own supporters. [Read more…]
