West Ham United are on the verge of signing Liverpool winger Stewart Downing for £5 Million.
Downing, 29, is set to leave Liverpool after an up and down 2-year spell with the Merseyside club after a £20 million transfer from Aston Villa.
The England international was first linked with West Ham back in July when it looked like a move was very much on the cards, before Downing distanced himself from a move away from Anfield and manager Brendan Rodgers suggesting Downing should fight for his place.

The Downing to West Ham rumours took off again this weekend with SkySports tweeting that a deal was close and the winger would be heading south, while transfer betting suggested the deal was as good as done with the odds stretching to 1/10 for the player to move to West Ham.
Downing has made 65 league appearances for Liverpool since his big money move from Villa, with West Ham looking to have agreed a £5 million fee according to SkySports it seems West Ham have once again taken a player from the reds at a fraction of the price they paid.
Liverpool have now lost £35 Million on Carroll and Downing, should the £5 Million fee be correct.
It’s understood that Downing will be undertaking a medical at West Ham United today before completing his move to The Boleyn Ground.
