In an interview with journalist Claude Atcheba, West Ham striker Diafra Sakho has said that he still wants to leave the club.
Sakho was on the verge of a move to Rennes earlier in the summer, but it broke down, with the Hammers apparently not willing to let the Senegalese international down because they hadn’t signed an adequate replacement (so reckons Sakho in the interview)

Here is a small table that shows ratings for West Ham’s players for their game against Swansea on 30 September, 2017, as compiled from various media sources. Not surprisingly, substitutes Diafra Sakho and Arthur Masuaku have been rated highly for their contributions, while Mark Noble didn’t exactly crown himself in glory, according to the pundits. West Ham’s strikers don’t seem to having the best of seasons, with Diafra Sakho the latest addition to the treatment room. The Senegalese forward, who became the first “proper” Hammers striker to score in the league in 16/17 with his goal against Manchester United over the weekend, has now been ruled out for six weeks due to a thigh injury.
Sakho is expected to return in January, but will be unavailable for West Ham if he is selected to do duty at the Africa Cup of Nations for Senegal [Read more…]
Winston Reid and Victor Moses are expected to be out for an extended period of time, adding to West Ham’s injury woes. Reid was injured in training on Wednesday and will have a scan tomorrow to determine the nature of his injury, but Bilic has already said that the initial diagnosis is not good and he will be out for a minimum of 4-6 weeks.
Moses picked up his injury in the game against United last weekend, and is set for a similar spell on the sidelines.
The duo joining an increasing crowded injury list, but what will worry Bilic is that the players who are on the treatment table are among his most influential- the likes of Dimitri Payet, Enner Valencia, Diafra Sakho and Manuel Lanzini have been key to West Ham’s success this season. [Read more…]
