Arsenal v West Ham predictions- What do the pundits say?

It’s a clash between two teams with high profile new managers, who are both looking for their first points of the new Premier League season after suffering defeats in their opening two games of the 2018/19 campaign.

Will Unai Emery get his first league win as Arsenal manager? Or will Manuel Pellegrini get the better of his opposite number at the Emirates? Here is a look at what pundits predict for this Matchweek 3 fixture.

Mark Lawrenson: Lawro says that West Ham were “hopeless defensively” in their games against Liverpool and Bournemouth, and has predicted a 2-0 win for Arsenal. [Read more…]

Hammers to begin season with trip to Anfield

Manuel Pellegrini’s first league game as West Ham manager will see his side make the trip north to Anfield to take on Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool. The Hammers have a home fixture against Bournemouth sandwiched between two tough games away at Liverpool and Arsenal respectively.

Hammers to play Arsenal in the quarterfinals of the Carabao Cup

West Ham’s reward for upsetting Spurs at Wembley is an away game at Arsenal after the Hammers were drawn against the Gunners in the last eight of the Carabao Cup.

The draw, supposed to be streamed live from Twitter UK’s headquarters, was delayed for nearly two hours, and eventually presented in the form of a pre-recorded video. The Premier League’s big four, surprise surprise, don’t meet each other in the last eight!

West Ham also reached the quarterfinals of the tournament last season, but lost 4-1 to Manchester United at Old Trafford, with Zlatan Ibrahimovic starring for the Red Devils [Read more…]
