Lanzini one of six Premier League based players in Jorge Sampaoli’s Argentine squad

West Ham’s Manuel Lanzini is one of six Premier League based players in Argentina manager Jorge Sampaoli’s final 23 member squad. Surprisingly (or unsurprisingly for some), there is no space for in form Inter striker Maurio Icardi (nor for Icardi’s soon to be teammate Lautaro Martinez), with Sampaoli chosing to go with Messi, Higuain, Dybala and Aguero upfront.

As noted by the folks here, there are only three domestic players in Sampaoli’s squad.

Willy Caballero makes the plane as the reserve keeper while both Manchester clubs have two representatives each- Rojo and Romero for United, and Otamendi and Aguero for City.
