West Ham 3-0 Bolton | Hammers too good for struggling Trotters

Arthur Masuaku scored a fantastic goal as West Ham eased past Bolton Wanderers 3-0 to seal their spot in the fourth round of the Carabao Cup. 35,806 spectators were in attendance at Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park for this fixture.

The Trotters, winless and bottom of the table in the Championship, were no match for the Hammers, with new summer signing Marko Arnautovic starring for the home side. Bilic gave several of his fringe players and youngsters a start, with Sam Byram and Sead Haksabanovic both in the XI.

Arnautovic had two assists to his name, with his free kick leading to Angelo Ogbonna’s headed opener. He also set up Diafra Sakho for the club’s second. The Austrian and Andrew Ayew could’ve both also been on the scoresheet, but their finishing wasn’t quite up to scratch.

West Ham 3-0 Bolton

It was left to Masuaku to put the icing on the cake with a stunner late on. Bolton have now lost five in a row in all competitions, conceding sixteen times in those games, and worse, haven’t scored a goal at all. They had one shot on target in this fixture but Mark Beevers didn’t trouble Adrian with his effort.
