Randolph opts for Boro switch

Following the arrival of Joe Hart on loan from Man City, Darren Randolph has opted to further his career in the Championship after agreeing an £5m switch to Middlesbrough.

Randolph competed with Adrian for a position under the sticks at the London Stadium and while he had his good moments, he didn’t exactly inspire confidence among Hammers fans.

A key reason for Randolph’s departure was the 2018 World Cup, with the 30 year old keen for regular football in order to stay as Ireland’s No.1 ahead of Keiren Westwood.

Randolph has put pen to paper a four year contract at the Riverside.
