Transfer deadline day is upon us so expect plenty of crazy stories and unbelievable rumours throughout the day.
Ricardo Vaz Te, 26, who slapped in a transfer request last week, looks the most likely departure for West Ham with Crystal Palace and Swansea said to be interested in his signature.
Manager Sam Allardyce fully expects Vaz Te to depart on deadline day, although he has not had any offers to accept for the forward.
Talking to SkySports he said:
We’ve not had any offers but I would expect him to go, yes.
I would respect what he has done for us and how well he has played.
When all is said and done, in his short time with us, he has scored 14 goals.
I think it was the main reason we got promoted to the Premier League in the first place and last year he contributed, after an unfortunate shoulder injury.
With the imminent departure of Vaz Te, West Ham fans will be wondering who we are looking to bring in as we have been handicapped with the new financial fair play rules which works on your previous years wage expenditure, so Vaz Te leaving will free up some precious funds for reinforcements.
I am not sure how much notice other teams are paying to this fair play rule, with several teams already having spent over £100 million each and others closing in on that fast, it’s odd that we are the only ones mentioning it!
Talking of players coming in, the Italian striker Fabio Quagliarella is still being mentioned as a possible loan arrival. Quagliarella has been linked with West Ham most of the summer and has already rejected other Premier League clubs so it’s a possibility.
BBC are also reporting that West Ham are chasing an African striker who is plying his trade in the Spanish League, so this could be any number of players.
Hopefully by the time Jim White has spontaneously combusted by the end of transfer deadline day excitement on Sky Sports News, we will have signed at least one more player to bolster our squad.
f/uck FFP no is takeing any notice why are we make the signings as if we dont we will be fighting to stay up
