Tottenham trounced by slick West Ham

West Ham United didn’t need any favours by Tottenham today at White Hart Lane as the East London club played some quality football.

It was West Ham’s first win for 14 years at the Lane with a stunning 3 nil win that Ravel Morrison put to bed with an incredible solo run.

From the get go West Ham pretty much outclassed a poor Tottenham side that looked like they were in need of a prayer. There were no long balls from the Hammers who took the bull by the horns to earn 3 valuable points and move out of the relegation zone.

It was a fairytale ending for the east Londoners who played good football from the start. Goals came courtesy from Winston Reid, Ricardo Vaz Te and finally an awesome goal from Ravel Morrison that even Messi would have liked to bag.

All credit goes to West Ham for stepping up to the plate with this one. The defense was pretty solid and you could tell that Sam Allardyce’s men were up for this one. Maybe Tottenham thought they had this one in the bag, but it wasn’t to be.

Andre Villas-Boas even brought out top gun Roberto Soldado with ten minutes to go – he must have thought the team was going to score at some stage without him. It proved to be a big error as the Hammers stretched their lead to three goals.

Towards the end, a lot of the Tottenham fans left the stadium – who could blame them!

A great result for the lads and it might be just the tonic to give us a well earned boost before the international break. This away win leaves West Ham in 13th position and there will surely be some celebrations in the east end of London later tonight!

About Stevo

Stevo can remember going to games with his Dad and seeing the likes of Clyde Best of all people. He also has a few mates who have “done” complete seasons too – and that was when the Irons were in division one. That’s every home and away game – unbelievable! Stevo plans to do this himself next season!
