It’s not Dimitri Payet (not yet), but we have a confirmed signing! West Ham United have made another acquisition in the summer transfer window by snapping up talented youngster Martin Samuelsen from Man City. He joins a two year deal (till 2017) and has the option of extending it by a further two years. Samuelsen is our third signing of the season after goalkeeper Darren Randolph (Birmingham) and midfielder Pedro Obiang (Sampdoria)
The 18 year old has been capped by Norway at U16, U17 and U18 levels, and Academy manager Terry Westley was delighted at the acquisition. Westley said that the teenager had been a target for the likes of Real Madrid and Chelsea at the age of 14, and chose to join West Ham despite having interest from several Italian and German clubs.
