Surprise, surprise! Mark Lawrenson’s just got his prediction for the West Ham vs Aston Villa game spot on. And if you’re a WHUFC fan who also keeps track of Lawro’s predictions at the Beeb, you’ll understand why this is such big news.

Lawro predicted it would go 2-0 in favour of the Hammers, and so it did, with second half goals from Antonio and Kouyate setting up a win over the struggling Villans, who had Ayew sent off in the first half.

Video- Beautiful Enner Valencia & Payet free kick goals give Hammers victory against Cherries

Dimitri Payet and Enner Valencia both showed their class last night as West Ham came from behind to beat Bournemouth 3-1. Both scored very, very good free kicks after Harry Arter’s first ever Premiership goal had put the Cherries ahead. Check out this video from the game- a very entertaining clash, both goalkeepers kept busy, with some cracking goals thrown in.

Player Watch Video- Carlton Cole scores his first Celtic goal

Hammers legend Carlton Cole netted his first official goal in Celtic colours in the Hoops’ 3-0 Scottish Cup win away at Stanraer. Carlton’s goal came on 42 minutes, while Leigh Griffiths also netted twice (18′, 84′) for the visitors.

Forgetting that it was a Cup clash, Carlton was quoted after the game saying “We got the job done and got the three points”. However he did see the funny side of it and even made a mention of it on his Twitter account (@CarltonCole1) [Read more…]

Loan Player Watch Video- Martin Samuelsen scores very nice goal for Posh in FA Cup

West Ham starlet Martin Samuelsen, currently on loan at Peterborough United, scored a very nice goal in his side’s 2-0 win in the FA Cup against Preston North End. West Ham are due to meet Wolverhampton Wanderers in the FA Cup tomorrow (January 9, 2016), and this will be the first meeting between the two sides in over FIVE years. The last competitive fixture between the two sides took place back on January 1, 2011 (in the 2010/11 PL season), with the Hammers winning 2-0 thanks to an own goal from Ronald Zubar and a late strike from Freddie Sears.
