Allardyce to sue Kean

Big Sam has taken out the big gun and pointed it in the direction of Steve Kean from Blackburn.

Yes, you heard that right, Allardyce is taking legal action against his old firm and against the man who replaced him as manager, Steve Kean. It appears that Sam’s move for legal action is in response to a video rant made by Kean in May and he’s having none of it.

The battle looks set to take place in the High Court, too. The video which lasts just over 4 minutes is full of rants and four letter words used by the Scot and Kean voices his opinion on why Allardyce was given the boot from Blackburn.

The clip was filmed in a Hong Kong bar and Kean can be heard talking with Blackburn fans. It was filmed on Blackburn’s pre-season tour of the Far East.

In the clip he is asked about his relationship with Allardyce, who appointed Kean as first-team coach, Kean responds like this:

“I haven鈥檛 spoken to him. He mullered me so I said f*** him.

“I worked my b***s off for him and then he had a go at me so f*** him.”

Nice one Keano. The 4 minute video ends strangely with Steve Kean boasting that his ultimately doomed outfit would win the Carling Cup. Alrighty then 馃槈

A spokesman acting on behalf of Sam Allardyce said:

“He has issued legal proceedings against Steve Kean and Blackburn Rovers but is unable to comment further at this time.”

I think it’s a clear cut case of jealousy and sour grapes on Kean’s part and I hope Allardyce “reams” him 馃槈

Modibo Maiga Signs For West Ham

Picture From WHUFC.com

Great news,聽West Ham have confirmed 24-year-old Modibo Maiga has joined The Hammers for an undisclosed fee, signing 聽a four-year contract with an option for a further two years.

Maiga, who is a Mali international, can play as a striker or on the wing and scored 24 league goals in the last two seasons in Ligue 1.

Speaking to WHUFC.com Maiga said:

“I am really happy and excited about joining West Ham United,” said Maiga. “I know West Ham are a聽big聽club in England and I’m really looking forward to representing them. They have聽huge tradition and it is like joining part of a family and that is one of the main reasons I wanted to come聽here.

“I know some of the big names that have played for the club in the past and I am proud to be part of a new team back in the Premier League.”

Lets hope this is the first of some quality signings for West Ham.

What do you guys think? Good signing? Who should we be looking for next?

Allardyce: No Carroll, No Berbatov, Maiga Hopefully

Sam Allardyce was on SkySports earlier and has said the club have give up on Andy Carroll as nothing much was going on, and that the Berbatov link was pure speculation and West Ham haven’t even spoke to Manchester United about him.

Regarding Carroll, Allardyce told SkySports:

“I think that we’re not in a situation where we can secure a deal with Andy or聽Liverpool at the moment.

“We talked to them, we had some negotiation. But at the moment there is nothing progressing forward on Andy coming to West Ham.

“We’ll just leave it as it is and move on with other players, as we have been doing on a daily basis through the summer.”

He also put to bed the rumour that Berbatov was Upton Park bound:

“That’s pure speculation in the media. I haven’t had any contact with Sir Alex.

“There was a statement from Dimitar saying he’s available for 拢5million. Everybody knows we’re looking for a striker so they say we’re in for him, but I’ve not had any conversations with Sir Alex.”

However, on a brighter note he did confirm that the deal for Modibo Maiga is progressing and that the club were working towards tying a deal up.

Bilel Mohsni On Trial

SkySports are reporting that Southend United star Bilel Mohsni聽is currently on trial with West Ham United.

The 24-year-old defender has been linked with a host of clubs over the last year. Stoke City and Blackpool have both seen offers rejected by Southend for Mohsni, who can also play as a striker.

However, Southend聽have confirmed that they have agreed to let him train with an unnamed club which SkySports have confirmed as West Ham.

I don’t know a great deal about the player other than what’s been in the media. How about you? Do you know anything more about the player or seen him play?

West Ham Bid For Berbatov

After the Andy Carroll trail seems to have gone cold West Ham appear to have turned their attention to Manchester United striker Dimitar Berbatov.

Berbatov, 31, has announced his intention to leave on a social network site in search of regular first team football after becoming disillusioned with life being a bit part player last season.

West Ham are hoping a return to London will tempt Berbatov who spent several seasons playing here for Spurs.
