Lucas Paqueta makes a more than welcome return to the West Ham starting lineup as they take on Brentford in GW26’s final league game later today evening.
West Ham’s form was wretched in January without their talismanic Brazilian playmaker- they drew against Brighton, SUFC and Bournemouth, and lost to Arsenal (a 6-0 thumping), Man Utd and Nottingham Forest, and were also knocked out of the FA Cup.
This game is also a battle between two Umbro wearing teams- the Hammers and the Bees are two of the five top flight teams donning the double diamond in the Premier League this season
Paqueta originally picked up the injury in December and suffered a recurrence of it in the draw against BCFC in the Cup last month, forcing him to be out on the sidelines for an extended period.
The Hammers are also without Kalvin Phillips, who sits this tie out through suspension after being sent off for two bookable offences against Forest last week.
The reverse fixture between the two teams in November was won by the Bees, who came from 2-1 down to triumph 3-2.
