West Ham v Wolves Predictions- What do the pundits say?

After their midweek EFL Cup success against AFC Wimbledon, will West Ham be able to pick up their first points of the new Premier League season against Wolves? The Hammers were beaten by Unai Emery’s Arsenal last weekend while Wolves held defending champions Man City to a draw at Molineux.

West Ham are currently bottom table of the table while Wolves are in 14th place, having picked up two points from their first three games.

Here is what pundits had to say about this clash

Mark Lawrenson: Lawro says West Ham “have frightened him defensively”, but reckons they’ll do the business against Wolves, predicting a 2-0 win for the home side.

Lawro’s opponent this week is BBC Radio 1 Breakfast host Greg James, who expects Wolves to continue the Hammers’ winless start to the season, and has gone for a 2-1 win for the visitors.

Paul Merson: Merson has gone for a 2-2 draw, but says there’s definitely “some class in the West Ham team” and that “they’ve got the capabilities”

Michael Owen: Owen, like Merson, reckons both teams will walk away with a point each and has predicted a “scoring draw”

Summary of predictions for West Ham v Wolves

Lawrenson: West Ham 2-0 Wolves
Greg James: West Ham 1-2 Wolves
Paul Merson: West Ham 2-2 Wolves
Michael Owen: Game will be a “scoring draw”

So 2 draws, one West Ham win, one Wolves win- looks like this one isn’t an easy one to predict for the pundits!
