Here is how West Ham’s players were rated by the media after their 3-3 draw away at Bournemouth. The Hammers took the lead twice in the game only for a late controversial goal from Callum Wilson to see the Cherries pick up a point.
Not surprisingly, veteran Pablo Zabaleta was one of those poorly rated- the congested Christmas schedule appears to be taking its toll on the veteran Argentine, who struggled with Christian Atsu in the previous game, and with Ryan Fraser and Andrew Smith in this outing.
Ghana international Andre Ayew also came for in some flak- he missed a golden opportunity to put West Ham 2-0 up in the first half, and was taken off early in the second as Moyes injected both Andy Carroll and Javier Hernandez from the bench for greater attacking threat.
Sky gave the returning Manuel Lanzini a 7 (the joint highest with other WHUFC players) while others thought the Argentine wasn’t so influential on his return from suspension.
The best rated players, not surprisingly were Arthur Masuaku and Marko Arnautovic, who have upped their game since the arrival of Moyes, and defender James Collins, who was captain for the afternoon in the absence of Winston Reid and Mark Noble
