Moyes Backroom staff announced- List of Assistant Coaches at West Ham revealed

David Moyes has officially named his backroom staff at West Ham, bringing in Stuart Pearce, Alan Irvine and Billy McKinlay as his assistant coaches (all three on an equal footing). Ex England U21 boss Pearce is of course a former Hammer, while Irvine and McKinlay have worked with Moyes in the past.

McKinlay was joint caretaker manager along with Robbie Stockdale at struggling Championship outfit Sunderland after Simon Grayson’s departure.

Moyes’ first assignment after the international break sees the Hammers take on Watford.

Irvine’s last assignment with a Premier League club saw him in charge of West Brom. He was sacked after seven months at the Hawthorns with Albion winning 4 out of 19 and just a point above the drop zone at the time of his departure.

Pearce’s last managerial assignment was with Nottingham Forest, with NFFC sacking him after just 32 games- he won 10 of them, and only 3 in the last 21 games in charge.
