Chicharito confirmed! West Ham complete Javier Hernandez signing

West Ham have officially confirmed the signing of striker Javier Hernandez from Bundesliga outfit Bayer Leverkusen. The Mexican international, top scorer at the Bay Arena for the last two seasons, has put pen to paper a three year contract at the London Stadium, with the Hammers paying the Werkself £16m for his services.

The signing of Hernandez is the latest in the list of high profile signings to be made by the Hammers this summer, with Pablo Zabaleta, Joe Hart and Marko Arnautovic the other big name arrivals at the London Stadium.

Interestingly enough, West Ham’s first game of the season is against Hernandez’s old club Manchester United. And the Red Devils have Romelu Lukaku in their ranks- the Belgian had a run of scoring in NINE straight games against West Ham when he was at Everton (the streak was broken by the 0-0 draw in April)
