West Ham United are caught up in the race to sign Swedish midfielder Jiloan Hamad who is also in the sights of at least three other Premier League clubs.
Lots of clubs in the Prem have been place on red alert as the Swedish international is available on a free transfer. Hamad’s agent Ferhat Cifci, has informed that his contract with Swedish outfit Malmo is running down and would be available in the new year on a free.
Cifci has confirmed that his player wants to test himself in the English Premier League. Apparently both Fulham and Norwich are interested in Hamad, but the Hammers may be heading the chase following talks between West Ham and Cifci over a possible move to England last summer.
Speaking to Sky Sports, Hamad’s agent said: “There are four clubs in England’s Premier League who are showing great interest in Jiloan.”
There is also interest from clubs in Germany and France, but Jiloan’s first choice is to play in the Premier League.
“He is a free agent in January and he is one of the best Bosman signings around and we are working on that at this time,” added Ferhat Cifci.
Although West Ham United are in more need of someone who could actually stick the ball in the net, getting the 22 year-old Swedish midfielder Hamad would be a real catch for the east London club and a boost for the midfield.

The only things we chase are rainbows. I have lost confidence in Sullivan and Allardyce.
