West Ham chase Ba, Lukaku and Zaha

West Ham United are reportedly chasing loan deals for Chelsea duo Demba Ba and Romelu Lukaku as well as Manchester United new boy Wilfred Zaha.

The Daily Mail is reporting that since West Ham appear to be closing in on the signing of Andy Carroll from Liverpool, West Ham look to strengthen their attacking options further with additional loan deals for Ba, Lukaku and Zaha.

West Ham Co-Owner David Gold fuelled speculation that a deal for Andy Carroll was close when he tweeted that West Ham’s chances of landing the striker had improved to a healthy 75%.

Gold also confirmed that the club will be looking to sign additional forwards should the deal for Carroll come off. Considering the club have let Carlton Cole leave and loan deals for Paulista and Chamakh have run their course, along with the fact Carroll is likely to be injured for the first few months of the season, West Ham are very short on forwards.

Demba Ba would be an excellent addition and would certainly score goals for West Ham, but will Chelsea’s returning Jose Mourinho allow either Ba or Lukaku out on loan before running the rule over them in pre-season?

Zaha would also add some pace and trickery on the wing, but will he be pressing for a place in the United team or would they be willing to send him out on loan to gain Premier League experience?

I am not sure any of these deals will come off, but regardless of these rumours West Ham need to add some fire-power to a strike force which was extremely light on goals last season.
