West Ham v Man Utd Preview

West Ham United take on champions-elect Manchester United tonight at The Boleyn Ground in a Premier League match.

Injuries could play a part in manager Sam Allardyce’s team selection, James Tomkins is a doubt after he limped off in the draw with Southampton at the weekend, Winston Reid is still struggling for fitness and George McCartney looks set to be out for the season so on-loan defender Emanuel Pogatetz could get a start.

West Ham will be going into the game with one win and two draws from their last three outings, while Manchester United will feel confident after winning 2-0 against Stoke at The Brit this weekend so will be ready for the physicality of an encounter with a Sam Allardyce team.

This will be the fourth time West Ham have faced off against Manchester United this season, all three games being a tight affair, United beat us 1-0 at Old Trafford in the league and required an injury time Robin van Persie equalizer to force a replay in the FA Cup which the Red Devils went on to win.

West Ham will be looking to finally come out on top of one of these tight games with United and if we were to pick up three-points this evening then Premier League survival would be almost guaranteed as it would move us on to 41-points.

Prediction: 2-1
