West Ham United boss Sam Allardyce has said that he is on the brink of signing a new deal with the East End club.
Allardyce secured a contract of £2.25million-a-year and has 3 months left on it until it expires this June. It is thought that Allardyce wasn’t offered an extension until West Ham’s Premier League future was secured.

According to Allardyce, he is convinced a new deal may be penned in the near future as talks have already begun to get under way.
According to The Sun newspaper Sam Allardyce had this to say:
“We both want to do it, it’s just a question of sorting out the dotting of the i’s and crossing of the t’s.
“As always, that is not as easy a situation as you would like.
“You always have to do some negotiations when you are moving into the next contract, just as there were plenty of negotiations over the first contract.
“So we will hopefully come to a conclusion very shortly.”
Big Sam took over the tenure of the club on 1st June 2011 after the sacking of Avram Grant who took the club down to the Championship in his first season at the Boleyn Ground.
Allardyce then led the Hammers to promotion back into the Premier League and top-flight football after just one season at the helm. A new deal would see Allardyce in charge until 2016 when the Hammers finally move into their new ground at the Olympic Stadium.
Big Sam added: “2016? I hope so. That means it will be me serving at a football club for the second longest time I’ve ever been.
“It will probably be close to five years and for a manager that is a long time these days.
“If i can continue to grow the club on the field then that helps everybody to start moving towards moving into the Olympic Stadium.
“And there’s one thing for sure — if it’s me that walks out at the Olympic Stadium with the team it will have to be the best team that I’ve had since I’ve been here.”
Despite the Hammers poor results of late, most fans would be pleased to see the big man take the reins and guide the Hammers to glory. Of course, the Hammers cannot compete with the big budgets of other clubs but with hard work and thrifty spending, you can do wonders.
