Allardyce on Arsenal

West Ham manager Sam Allardyce says Arsenal have nobody to blame but themselves for their disappointing season.

The Hammers’ head to The Emirates tonight to take on an Arsenal team that has been suspect at the back all season with a real mixture of good and bad results.

Arsenal are currently 7 points adrift of 4th place North London Rivals Tottenham Hotspur and an incredible 22 points of leaders Manchester United having played just over half a season.

Sam Allardyce though thinks Arsenal only have themselves to blame:

When you sell your best players, which is not normally expected of Arsenal,  then it is difficult to replace them. There is no doubt the players who have  come in are very good but are they better than the ones they have sold?

It’s a big ask, even for Arsene with his huge recruitment policy, to replace  those players immediately. They have suffered with their level of results. The  football is still very good but when you lose that many goals – particularly  from Van Persie – and miss more chances than they did before, they won’t get as  good results.

I tend to agree with Big Sam as West Ham fans we know all about selling top players and getting in substandard replacements to fill their boots.

I think Diame will have a top game tonight especially as Wenger will be casting an eye over him, I don’t want Diame to leave but if he has a top game tonight because of the speculation then I wont mind at all!
