West Ham United had agreed a new two-year deal with defender Winston Reid according to the Daily Mail.
Reid, 24, has been outstanding for West Ham this season and West Ham have wasted no time in rewarding his fine form with a new contract as well as keeping interested parties at bay.
Sam Allardyce has also been suitably impressed with Reid’s development this season and is starting to shape his defence around the Kiwi defender who has had no shortage of admirers this season.
This is a good sign that the club is looking to build for the future rather than sell its prized assets in the blink of an eye as has been the policy under old regimes.
Hopefully we can improve the defence as we are looking a bit thin on the ground when it comes to quality defenders especially at fullback.

I was not that sure about Winston when he first arrived, but I must be honest he has improved week on week for me! He is reading the game a lot better and although he still makes the odd mistake (who doesn’t??) he is becoming one of the first names on the team sheet i would imagine. Keep it up Winnie 馃檪
Great signing I think young Winston will do very well.
