The Black Cats cruised to a three nil win over the Hammers on Saturday equalling their biggest win of the season so far against Reading. Sunderland were quick off the mark and showed the Hammers they wanted to control the game early on.
Sunderland were like Usain Bolt out of the blocks and it took just 12 minutes for Seb Larsson to chalk one up for the home side.

West Ham were then on the back foot and never really got into the game except for a few occasions of danger in the opposite half.
Adam Johnson and James McClean added to the Hammers’ misery when they snatched a goal apiece in the second half.
Larsson’s goal was pure class, smacking a 20 yard left-foot shot that swerved away from keeper Jaaskelainen and found the top left-hand corner of the net. It was a mistake from young Pottsy who headed and literally tee’d up the ball for Larson to punish Jussi. A fair mistake, he’s only young and his great performance against Manchester United means I won’t harass the youngster anymore!
The second half got underway and West Ham paid the high price for some very dodgy defending. Adam Johnson capitalised on a Dan Potts faux pas as he tried to chest the ball to his keeper.Fletcher got involved and hit the ball goalwards only to hit the West Ham keeper and bounce out for Johnson to rifle past the Hammers’ keeper at close range.
With just over a quarter of an hour left, the Blacks Cats pounced again and snatched another goal. Sessegnon’s shot glanced off Winston Reid and fell sweetly for McClean to shoot low under Jaaskelainen and into the back of the net.
To the Hammers credit, Ricardo Vaz Te and James Tomkins nearly made good in the final 10 minutes of the match while skipper Kevin Nolan missed the net with a chance of a consolation goal at the death.
So ended the match at the Stadium of Light and Sunderland remain in 14th position thus putting more points between them and the bottom four.

He does indeed Ray, let’s hope the Hammers can take something away from the carnage.
What a pile of crap, can’t believe I paid to go up to Sunderland to see that massacre of my team, Sam needs to sort this out and sharpish!
