West Ham’s big forward Andy Carroll looks set for a return for the Hammers in just over a week. The striker has made very good progress after picking up a knee injury last November against Manchester United.
This was bad news for the Hammers as they feared that the on-loan striker would be sidelined until February. Andy Carroll has responded well to treatment and could be back in action for West Ham on Saturday week.

West Ham are looking to introduce the striker against QPR as the Hammers’ mid week FA Cup replay against Manchester United looks a bit early.
The big forward has netted just one goal for West Ham United since coming from Liverpool on loan. New loan player from Arsenal Marouane Chamakh, looks like he’ll be starting on Saturday against Sunderland in the Premier league clash.
Arsenal boss Wenger looks like he has written off Chamakh as a flop but Sam Allardyce is adamant that he’ll squeeze more out of the striker than his North London counterpart.
Talking about new signing Chamakh, Allardyce noted:
“It’s about him proving to himself and helping us by scoring more goals and producing performances we can get excited about.
He’s good in the air and getting between defenders from crosses. We can provide the materials and ammunition for him to get a few goals.”

i AM REALLY PLEASED THAT jOEY O’BRIEN WILL BE STAYING – AND AS I HAVE IRISH PARENTS I CAN WATCH HIM PLAY FOR iRELAND AND BE PROUD THAT HE IS A HAMMER.
