The January transfer window is well and truly open and one thing that could make headlines is the possible transfer of ex Hammer Frank Lampard.
Joe Cole has made an impressive return to his former club and Frank Lampard could do the same. It would be amazing for the Hammers if they had these two former youth players back in the squad. The blues playmaker will be shown the door in the summer and there’s not much he can do about it despite still scoring goals for his side.
Lampard has cemented himself as one of the best midfielders the country has ever seen, both on club and international level and his experience alone would make the prospect of having him back at the irons a real steal. The young Hammer side would benefit hugely from Lampard.
It’s incredible that the Russian Billionaire would let a player of Frank Lampard’s stature go – especially as there are already lots of Premiership clubs with pen in hand ready to sign him. The fickle behaviour of Abramovich is one reason he won’t be having ex Barca coach Pep Guardiola at the blues. Can you blame him?
Joe Cole received an enormous home coming on Saturday when his new club drew 2-2 with Manchester United in The FA Cup and speculation is growing that Frank Lampard is keen to join him. It would be a fairytale story for Hammer supporters and “Lamps” has certainly not ruled anything out at this stage

FRANK coming back would only compare with PAUL INCS
I’m glad to see that someone agrees with me – even though he left westham over 10 years ago but there was a lot of controversy about his dad getting sacked – I would probably have done the same – but after leaving I still watched him play and you have got to admit it he has improved since leaving us – what a team – Joe Cole – Frank Lampard – if only
Unfortunately Frank would never return. He always feels that he was treated badly by sections of our support when he has returned. I love Frank and my fondest memory is of him scoring to make it 2-2 at Selhurst Park on Boxing Day 1999 and running up to me and other fans screaming with delight. One thing to remember he turned down the chance of playing at Spurs because he thought it would be a backward step from West Ham. Who can blame him!
I think Pam’s got the idea…. a 20 goal per season midfielder who can control the ball – not to be sneezed at lads, come on!
you lot obviously don’t know what you are talking about – he is at 20 goals a season plus a good player – when he started out he was West Ham whether you like it or not – when west ham sold him west ham got £11 million.
I would welcome him back with open arms – you lot read up on your football history
Are you out of your mind!!!!!! Do you honestly believe he will be welcomed with open arms?
He should stay at chelski and be a ball boy, bring in young fresh talent
