Ex Hammer star Carlton Cole has failed a fitness test at the club’s training ground at Chadwell Heath which means his sensational return to the Boleyn Ground has gone pear shaped.

It was confirmed this recently that Carlton Cole was having a medical at West Ham, in hope of returning to the club and while I’m not totally against the idea, by no means am I thrilled by it either!
The possible return of Cole has seen a pessimistic reaction from many West Ham fans, and with good reason-after-all we expected to sign a new striker who could inject the team with some much-needed fire power, now we seem to be taking a step backwards by re-signing a player who’s best years looked well and truly behind him. Ex Hammer and free agent Carlton Cole is apparently in Turkey trying to ply his trade with Besiktas. The 29 year old has even had talks with Beckham’s old team LA Galaxy for a move there.
