West Ham United manager Sam Allardyce is keen on easing the hype surround in form talent Ravel Morrison.
While Allardyce believes the young West Ham united star is mustard, he recognises the importance of not letting stardom go to the talented youngster’s head.
The West Ham boss wrote in the London Evening Standard last night: “I see Ricardo Vaz Te believes Ravel Morrison is the best footballing talent he has seen. That’s praise indeed and a nice thing for Ricardo to say about a team-mate.
“We have to be careful with Ravel, though. We don’t want him thinking he’s lord of the rings just yet.
“We want him to maintain the level of consistency he’s been showing. His scoring and creative capabilities are outstanding and, yes, he does look one of the coolest and most composed players in front of goal that we have in our team.
“Ravel looked good in pre‑season but you always wonder if the player will then take that into the competitive matches.
“We’ll keep his feet on the ground and tell him that, if he continues to work hard and keeps his head, his performances will only keep improving which will be a major bonus for us this season.”
The Hammers face Hull City later today at the KC stadium with 15:00 kick off.
