We think Andy Carroll is a keeper and we are going to give you three good reasons. Carroll finally signed from Liverpool after a loan spell from the Anfield club for £16million.
24 year old Carroll signed a 6 year deal and will pocket some serious cash on the way, to the tune of £100k a-week.
Carroll has showed the fans what he is capable of this season despite the big Geordie being hit with a series of injuries that have kept him off the field. We have put together 3 reasons why Carroll is a great choice for West Ham.
Arial ability
First of all, the 6′ 3″ 24 year old is very tall and that makes him very difficult to take on in the air. The Hammers are blessed with one of the tallest sides in the Premier league and having super Carroll up front to put the heebie jeebies up the opposition’s defense is priceless.
Andy Carroll has showed us what he can do in the air and we love it.The way he can out jump defenders is bewitching and is a match winner on this ability alone. Carroll also scored 3 of his seven goals with his head last season, too. He has not only won more than 60% of his aerial duels over the last two seasons,the big Geordie led the Premier League in aerial duels won per match last season.
Excellent shielder of the ball
Andy Carroll’s excellent ability of being able to shield the ball from the opposition also deserves a mention. How many times have we seen the big man chest the ball down and shield it waiting for a team mate to overlap him so he can knock it through? He reminds us of Zlatan Ibrahimovic of Paris Saint-Germain who is also one of the best shielders of the ball in the game. The tall guy was very useful for FC Barcelona while they used him before he got on the wrong side of Pep Guardiola.
Intimidating
The last reason is for his intimidation. He is a real asset on the pitch and Joe Cole once said that Carroll “reminded him of Didier Drogba”. The sheer size of him up at the front is enough to put a lot of defenders on guard and we think that Carroll has an intimidating air about him with his broad shoulders and long hair. If we gave him a hammer to hold he could even be Thor’s double and could probably give Chris Hemsworth a run for his money as a stand-in.
We think that if Andy Carroll were a better passer of the ball, he would be the complete package. That’s something Andy will no doubt be working on ahead of the coming season.

Although 100% CORRECT in your praise and assessment of Carroll, a post like this is always going to attract the negative element who call themselves supporters……….but NEVER have anything good to say!
I wonder if these so called supporters go to bed at night praying that our club crash and burn so that they can be proved right,

Personally I think Andy is a Risk! with his recent goal records for Liverpool and us last season, he is also injury prone, I feel for some of the other great players we have how all pre-season promotion has been about and the kit launch.
Carroll has been Over Hyped for many years now and we are doing exactly the same with him so like many young kids in music they start to Believe the Hype!
For Our Club’s sake I hope he does produce 15 goals plus minimum and I will gladly eat humble pie, but there are lots more who could end up with egg on their faces unless he really picks up his game, we lack a real goal scorer!
