West Ham had two representatives in Garth Crooks’ team of the week for Round 8, with both Winston Reid and Aaron Cresswell making it to the BBC analyst’s XI.

Aaron Cresswell had an eventful evening in West Ham’s 1-0 win over Crystal Palace on Saturday evening, providing the assist for Lanzini’s goal but then bizarrely getting sent off by collecting two yellows in the space of a minute.

It was a decent performance from West Ham as they beat Crystal Palace 1-0 at Selhurst Park. Not outstanding, but it got the job done.
Plenty of talking points from the game- Aaron Cresswell returning from injury, making his first start of the season and the beautiful interplay between Payet and him for Lanzini’s goal. Then Benteke’s penalty miss and Martin Atkinson’s howler- giving Cresswell two yellows in the space of a minute (neither of which were really deserved!) and ensuring he misses the next game.
