Manuel Lanzini has become the latest arrival at the Boleyn Ground after signing a season long loan deal with West Ham. The 21 year old Argentine attacker joins from UAE club Al Jazira and becomes the Hammers’ seventh signing of the summer after Darren Randolph, Pedro Obiang, Stephen Hendrie, Dimitri Payet, Angelo Ogbonna and Carl Jenkinson.
Lanzini, likened to Pablo Aimar in Argentine circles, was linked with a move to West Ham from River Plate last season, but eventually joined Al Jazira. He has also had a previous spell on loan at Fluminense.
Lanzini possesses an Italian passport and has been capped by Argentina at U20 level.
