West Ham target Wilfried Bony profile

It’s no secret West Ham United have bid 拢10 million for Ivory Coast striker Wilfried Bony, so West Ham United Blog have decided to find out more about the striker.

Swansea City have apparently already lodged a bid for Bony’s services which has prompted West Ham to spring in to action and match the offer on the table for a player they have been tracking and linked with as far back as March.

Bony聽had a stellar campaign for his current club Vitesse last year scoring an impressive 31 league goals in 30 appearances, he finished the 2012/2013 season with 37 goals in 36 games in all competitions so Bony definitely knows where the net is and capped off his most prolific campaign to date by picking up the Dutch Footballer of the Year award.

Wilfried Bony

Vitesse signed Bony from Sparta Prague in January 2011 and his record is 52 goals in 71 outings for the Dutch team.

Before signing for Vitesse, Bony had 3 years in the Sparta Prague first team where he scored 30 goals in 75 appearances.

Bony is also an Ivory Coast international where he has netted 8 goals in 20 games for The Elephants, I am sure he would have had more game time if it had not been for a certain Didier Drogba.

I also found this YouTube video of Bony scoring a hat-trick for Vitesse last season, he looks a big, powerful, quick and accurate finisher so if we were to sign him he could form an outstanding partnership with recent signing Andy Carroll.

    hahahaha fuckers. you lost

  2. Why post a comment on a story that is over a year old and has no relevance now ?

  3. Liverpool, a team with European football which he craves, couldn’t sign him for 拢10 mn so how do WHU think a bid of 拢10 mn will shift him?

Really, really would like this gut to sign for us. Fingers crossed on this one. You never know – Allardyce might even consider 2 up front for some games if he does 馃槈

It would break from the tradition of the last few seasons having two up front, I think this guy could be magic if we can get him! Two beasts up front mean the opposition wont be able to double mark Carroll all the time without leaving space for Bony (if he signs) or someone like Nolan running in!
